Hide your teacups! The Odd Sisters are here! ~ And our next villain is revealed!

Hide your teacups! The Odd Sisters are here!

Lovelies! My newest Villains novel THE ODD SISTERS hit the shelves on July 2nd! And as usual my readers have not let me down! I can’t believe how well the story of my favorite witches is doing! It’s been on the Publisher’s Weekly Best Sellers List for 3 weeks running, and has been the #1 Best Seller  and #1 new Release (in its categories) on Amazon off and on since its release. I have also heard it’s been a Best Seller in quite a few bookstores! I am stunned and so thankful. Thank you, lovelies! I have the best readers an author could ask for!

For those who don’t follow me over on Facebook you may not have heard I was a guest at the San Diego Comic Con. I had such a wonderful time speaking on the Disney fairytale retelling panel as well as signing tons of books at the Disney Books booth! I was amazed at how many people showed up to get books signed. It was lovely to chat with so many readers. Go visit my Facebook timeline for all the photos from the convention and to see my many updates about The Odd Sisters since its release.

The other exciting thing that happened at the San Diego Comic Con was the announcement of the next Villains novel! That’s right lovelies! For those who have not heard, the next villains novel will be about Cruella De Vil! It will be called EVIL THING: A TALE OF THAT DEVIL WOMAN. I had such a thrilling time writing Cruella’s story and I can’t wait to share it with all of you next summer. July of 2020!

Here are some tidbits I have shared over on my Fb page:

Answers to FAQ’s:
  • Cruella’s story is in a different part of the world and completely different timeline than the previous books. But still in the same universe I’ve created for this series. We will catch up with the Odd Sisters and gang in later books.
  • I explore Cruella’s childhood, and upbringing, which in my opinion is pretty sympathetic, but of course nothing excuses being a would-be puppy murderer! Her story isn’t redemptive, but it is relatable.
  • Keep exploring the journal pages in the Odd Sisters book. There are important clues and Easter eggs that pertain to the next three books! And may just give you a clue to how the Odd Sisters have a hand in the next three books even though they don’t actually appear in all of them.
  • This book is an adaptation of the original animated film 101 Dalmatians. It’s written in Cruella’s voice. An autobiography. And will explore her life from childhood leading up to the events in the film.
  • I will be exploring her friendship with Anita! And we will learn how she got her iconic black and white hair!

I update this FAQ list frequently on my FB timeline! Please feel free to follow me. All my book related posts are public. Oh! And here are a few of links you might find interesting:

I had the pleasure of doing a Podcast interview about THE ODD SISTERS for Barnes & Noble where I talk about the book, my writing process, and some of my personal Disney favorites. And here is a super fun interview I did for The Disney Blog about The Odd Sisters, as well a lovely write up they did  about EVIL THING

And last but not least I’d like to share my Patreon Page where I am offering monthly short stories and well as exclusive teasers for my upcoming novels, as well as various other goodies. Take a look at the different ways you can become a patron for as little as $1.00 per month. Every little bit helps. Especially between books!

But before I go, let me just thank you for all the lovely messages about THE ODD SISTERS and EVIL THING! I am so happy so many of you loved The Odd Sister’s story, and I am so pleased everyone seems to be excited for Cruella’s story! It makes me feel… well…like this! THANK YOU! xoxox
