Using the tone of a self-help manual, this impressively designed book offers a guide to getting the most out of the zombie lifestyle\u2014whether you\u2019re an undead yourself or just a fan. As the introduction points out, \u201cZombification is just the first step in a superfun and exciting adventure.\u201d Indeed! The chapter headings say it all: \u201cRoam Alone or in Packs?\u201d \u201cPut Your Best (Most Horrific) Face Forward.\u201d \u201cD\u00e9cor for the Decaying.\u201d \u201cLend Me a Hand: Fun with Prosthetics.\u201d Broken down in easy-to-digest chunks, the tips leave no gravestone unturned, though some of the jokes are groaners (moaners?): for example, to battle rigor mortis, \u201cconsider taking up yoga.\u201d More impressive, actually, is the book\u2019s nonfiction component, which offers up well-researched lists of movies, books, music, comics, board games, video games, and events for zombie fanatics. There\u2019s also makeup tips (use pieces of rice for maggots) and even\u2014steel yourself\u2014recipes.
